Positive Participation
We had our first session with Mel and Lorna from Positive Participation today. We learnt a tool called release which helps us to stay calm and relaxed in stressful situations such as before a big game or test or when we are being annoyed by our brothers and sisters!

Welcome back to 2014!
Well we survived our first day together in Room 21!
What an awesome bunch of students I have this year, I am very excited as are they.
We are currently in the process of putting together a blogging team. The team of students will be responsible for updating and adding bits and bobs to our blog. I will also pop up and blog from time to time, however I would like it to be student led and so will be handing over the reins :)
We are off to Breen's this Friday for our first Technology session. Stay tuned for some pics (I will upload over the weekend).
Once again welcome to the Room 21 team! It's an awesome place to be.

Only 2 weeks to go!
Hi everyone
I hope you are having an amazing time over your holidays and that you are being very well behaved for your parents!
I can't believe that there are only 2 weeks until school starts back!!! I am really excited about 2014 and know that we will all have a fabulous year together in the Senior Syndicate.
My holidays have been very busy, Quinn (my husband) and I took our dog Meg up to the Marlborough sounds for 7 nights to stay with our friends in their holiday home. Quinn went diving every day and caught scallops, oysters and crayfish!!! YUMMO!
The rest of our holiday has been doing some DIY on our house...very messy :(
I have been into school a few times, and the next time I go in I will be working out where you will all be sitting :)
I am really looking forward to seeing you all on Monday 3rd Feb and hearing all about your holiday stories!
Things to do before then...make sure you have all of your stationary ready to go (including togs and towel) think about one funny/amazing/memorable story to tell me and make sure you start going to bed early and get a good nights sleep!!!

Rotary Speech Competitions!
A huge congratulations to the four students who made it into the Rotary Speech Competitions held at the Belfast Rugby Club last night.
All students recieved a placing with Belfast School coming away with one 1st placing, two 2nd placings and a 3rd!
A special well done to Layla and Destiny both from Room 21 who placed 1st and 2nd!
We are so proud of you!

Busy, Busy, Busy
Hi All,
Wow we have so much happening at the moment...Please check the up and coming events page for dates of important events.
Swimming started last week, please make sure that you have your swimming kit here every day!
Graduation preparations are well underway and the Y8 students are practicing their dancing 2-3 times a week at the moment.
The school speech competition is being held tonight at 7pm in Room 20. Good luck to everyone particularly Destiny, Ketana, Casey and Layla from Room 21!
