Life Education

This week we began our Life Education sessions with Rachel (and Harold) in the mobile classroom. It has been very interesting so far learning about making choices and how each choice we make has a consequence which can be good or bad.
We have discovered that there are many positive and negative influences that affect our decision making. Some of these choices can affect our bodies and our health, particularly during puberty when our brains are growing and developing.
We have learnt that it is ok to say no to something which makes us feel uncomfortable!

Here are some pics from todays session where we looked at the different organs and what their jobs are...

Inside the mobile classroom

Zach meets PAT-Pull Apart Torso!

Kiki is fascinated with the liver, it has over 500 jobs!

Casey and Lace exploring the amazing stomach, it can hold up to 1.5L of digested food!

Lexus and Brody with the small intestine which is 4-5 metres long!

Thomas and Joe modelling a set of lungs which if you rolled out with a rolling pin would be able to cover the area of a tennis court!

Zach and Nikita learning about the large intestine which is as thick as a human wrist and 1.5m long!
